Fitness and overall wellbeing are priorities for today’s yacht owners and guests. So, what better way to support these than to create a sports court aboard a yacht? The Eterea yacht series from Centouno Navi provides proper space despite being “only” 131 feet (40 meters) LOA.
The Italian yacht builder constructs waterjet-powered, performance-oriented yachts. Its co-founders, designer Manuela Lucchesi and naval architect Marco Arnaboldi, incorporated their own ideas along with those of an American client for the new semi-custom megayacht. “In designing Eterea, we set ourselves two precise objectives,” Lucchesi explains, “to have a very clear-cut profile and to guarantee guests onboard close contact with the sea.” That close contact comes with the large aft area, which expands thanks to fold-down bulwarks. “There is room here to store numerous toys,” Arnaboldi adds, including a sizable tender to 29 feet (9 meters). However, the pickleball court request came straight from a U.S. owner.
Whether playing pickleball or simply soaking up the surrounding scenes, the owner has yet another special way to feel connected to the sea. The Eterea yacht series situates the master suite with direct access to the long aft deck.
Interestingly, while customers can request up to five staterooms and tailor the overall layout, Centouno Navi has unusual deck arrangements. Firstly, the master (full beam) and all guest staterooms are slightly lower than the aft deck. The main saloon and other lounging/living areas are therefore a bit higher than the pickleball/sports deck. And, finally, the flying bridge is still elevated, though lower profile to complement the clean profile.
Cenouno Navi has even considered the furnishings throughout the superyacht, to stay with the clean-cut concept. It’s working with Grandi Architetture & Partners.
Since she’s a performance-oriented project, the Eterea yacht promises a blistering top speed of 58 knots. Quadruple MTU engines with waterjets further promise a cruising speed of 48 knots. Of course, since the series is semi-custom, buyers have an alternate engine package to select, too. It’s a triple-engine setup, still allowing an anticipated top end of 48 knots.
